Number: A Jury Poll will be created of all applicants for jurors in the Common Law Court. Each trial will have ten (10) jurors assigned to each case. The Accuser and the Accused will both select a juror of their choice, which will complete the 12 person jury for each trial. Three alternate jurors will be selected from the pool to move into a juror position, if any circumstances arise that cause the inability of a regular juror to perform his duties.
Duties: The Jury will:
Hear all testimony in the trial to which they are assigned;
Ask any questions (through the Clerk of the Court) that arise during the course of the trial;
Deliberate with the other jurors, upon the completion for the evidentiary portion of the trial;
Provide a Verdict to the Clerk of the Court, with each Count being addressed separately, at the completion of their deliberations;
Jurors will not divulge any information regarding any testimony, evidence, deliberation, or any other information regarding the current trial, to anybody accept fellow jurors in the same trail, until the trial has been completed and the Verdict rendered.
Requirements: Willingness to study testimony, documents, other evidence, and, in an unbiased manner, make a determination of innocence or guilt.
